Why did Roche Holding choose Belarus?

"The production of our full range of products on the territory of Belarus is in the interests of the government and the interests of Roche in providing patients with access to our medicines" says Adriano Treve, Director for Central and Eastern Europe.

Join Japan learned that at a meeting on February 6, Deputy Prime Minister of Belarus Igor Petrishenko discussed with Adriano Treve areas of cooperation and possible joint projects. Petrishenko notes that the Belarusian government considers it very important for the development of domestic pharmaceutics to cooperate with large and innovative pharmaceutical companies, one of which is Rosh Holding.

Adriano Treve said, "Our policy is to register all our drugs in all countries of the world. In Belarus, we plan to register drugs for hemophilia, multiple sclerosis, oncology. We have an extensive product portfolio, we are ready to bring it all to Belarus".

According to Acting Director of NAIP Denis Meleshkin, "Company F. F. Hoffmann-La Roche is a very large company, and if you decide to invest in Belarus, it will bring investments and technology. In 2017, the company's investment budget worldwide amounted to an amount comparable to the GDP of our country".
