Mironivsky Hliboproduct will supply poultry to Japan

In 2018, Ukraine exported $112.7 million of agricultural products to Japan, which is 31.4% more than in 2017 ($85.8 million.) In 2019, Ukraine received permission to export raw milk and dairy products, including butter and cheese, to the country of the Rising Sun. And recently, Join Japan discovered that the agro-industrial holding Mironivsky Hliboproduct (MHP) will supply poultry to the Japanese market.

We are glad to observe such an active development of a partnership between Japan and Ukraine!

What is it all about?

Mironivsky Hliboproduct is the largest producer of chicken in Ukraine. It holds 55% of the Ukrainian market. The main shareholder of MHP is Yuri Kosyuk. Mironivsky Hliboproduct is represented by the trademarks Nasha Ryaba, Easy, Bashchinsky, Fuagra and others.

According to Sergei Ivanov, the board deputy chairman of MHP for Commerce, the opportunity to export poultry to Japan arose after the veterinary certificates approval.

The Japanese market is very demanding and complex, so it is important for the holding company to study all the supplies requirements. Ivanov also mentioned that “Japan is one of the largest importers of poultry meat in the world, and the consumption culture there is significantly different from European or Middle Eastern one. The so-called red poultry meat is valued here i.e. non-fillet meat, like leg products”.

In 2018, imports of poultry meat in Japan amounted to around 570,000 tons.

Mironivsky Hliboproduct together with Japanese partners, strive to perfect the standards for several products. In 2019, MHP will send a small test batch to confirm compliance with the requirements of environmental friendliness, quality and packaging of meat. And in the future, to reach the export volume of its product up to 500 tons per month, and then even up to 1000 tons.

Why MHP?

Agroholding revealed to Join Japan the modern “smart” robotic technologies for growing poultry at the Old Poultry Factory. “The process of feeding and caring for the bird, the regulation of lighting and heating, depending on the seasonal biorhythms of chicken, is carried out by smart robotic systems that, monitor and analyze many parameters in real time by using special sensors. Poultry engineers can receive notifications about deviations and the need for intervention in the operation of robotic systems directly on smartphones, which allows you to quickly manage all the parameters of the poultry farm, ”the agricultural holding said. And it is quite impressive.

We have no doubts that the joint systematic work of business and the government of Ukraine and Japan will result in more productive cooperation between the countries.
